What do I get?
The highest quality archival media we can find, beautifully boxed in a quality bookshelf storage unit. Most contain five CD’s for photos and one DVD for movies, each with a designer pattern or image that matches the box cover. We leave it up to you to burn the discs with your favourite software. Once you have, you can make up albums for yourself or as once in a lifetime gifts for others.
Why should I spend this much on a few discs?
Because you want them to last. Those cheap 25¢ discs you got at the market sometimes won’t survive for a year, especially if they get a bit of handling. One scratch on the thin top coating and they’ve had it.
We source the highest quality archival discs on the planet, mastering grade, the sort of CD’s and DVD’s that museums use. These are the discs that governments, institutions, professional photographers, music studios, data specialists and researchers use when they can’t afford to lose the files. Our Gold Wedding discs are guaranteed to last until your golden wedding anniversary in fact longer, as they are rated 100+ years!
How are your discs better?
Our mastering grade archival discs have a heavy duty surface seal to prevent wear and scratches to the top coating. If light can get right through a scratch on the disc backing then you’ve got a real problem and cheap discs have thin coatings. They are surface sealed to resist breakdown if exposed to sunlight (UV).
Gold grade discs also have a 24 carat gold reflective layer to protect files for over a hundred years.
How else can I use them?
If you are a small business person, professional, self employed, teacher and so on, you probably have huge numbers of files on your computer correspondence, records, presentations, plans, information, text and whatever else you’ve accumulated. Image a simple little box where you can save all those documents and files that you will need again sometime in a way you can get at them quickly. Lose the computer at work and there they are, on the shelf at home.

Why can’t I just save my photos and movies on my computer?
Because computers crash and hard drives die. Not perhaps it’s inevitable. It will happen. And when it does, you lose - perhaps everything and you can’t replace family memories. Most people save their photos on the computer and it’s a recipe for disaster. Give a duplicate to your parents or children and no matter what disaster happens, bushfire or flood you still have them.
What designs are there?
Stylish traditional and modern designs to suit family albums, child photographs, weddings, holiday shots and movies, digital scrapbooks. New cover/disc designs are being released regularly.
What about all the old photos in albums or in shoe boxes in the cupboard?
Scan them or get your local store to scan them for you. Then you can save them to myLife albums. It doesn’t matter if they’re a few years old or a hundred, once they’re scanned and transferred to our high grade discs, they’re safe forever. Make copies for all the family and be extra sure.
